Italian Inspired Wedding

Blog

From the bride:
“We really wanted the wedding to feel like we were all eating in Italy! We couldn’t afford to host everyone we love in our honeymoon location so we wanted to bring that feeling here. Where all that matters is the delicious food, the amazing wine and a beautiful, warm atmosphere and conversation.
We tried to avoid it looking too calculated or overly planned- we wanted the concept to all come together as a whole but more in the way of achieving a feeling… not a theme.
Almost everything for the wedding was purchased from thrift shops. We didn’t want anything to feel too precious but have a story and the craftsmanship of the past.
We used layers of romantic textures, in the greenery, varying heights of aged brass candlesticks and candles, satin tablecloths and ribbons, velvet and fur and of course the amazing flowers done by Academy Florists!
Lemons, lavender, and found shells from our past trips drove home that feeling of what we expected our honeymoon to the Italian coast would be.
Looking back we wouldn’t have changed a thing… except maybe the weather!! “
